BARTLEY, SNEED AND DAVENPORT CHOSEN FOR NJCAA ALL-STAR GAME (7/12/09) Published on Friday, Aug. 28, 2009



Gainesville, FL – Three returning players for the 2009-10 season were chosen in July to represent Santa Fe College for the NJCAA Women’s Basketball All-Star Competition at Pensacola Junior College.

Point guard Lanita Bartley (Jacksonville, FL), shooting guard Tracie Sneed (Jacksonville, FL) and forward Letiecia Davenport (Gainesville, GA) were all picked by the NJCAA as some of the premier players from a state loaded with women’s basketball talent.

Players from all over the country were split into four teams and they competed over two days, with each team playing two games.

During their freshman seasons, all three Lady Saints averaged double figure scoring, Sneed (bottom picture) led the way with 12.7 ppg and Davenport (middle) and Bartley (top) each averaged 10.8 ppg for the Mid-Florida Conference champions.
