Bugs, Ecology and Plants: UF Agriculture Information Sessions in June

Three advising events of the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences will be held in the UF@Santa Fe Center (HA132) in June.

From 1:30-3:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, amazing arthropods will accompany Dr. Rebecca Baldwin as she presents an information session on Entomology degree programs. Hear about career opportunities and transfer requirements for these specializations: Pre-Professional (medicine, vet school, etc.), Basic Science, Ecotourism, Biosecurity, Plant Protection, and Urban Pest Management.

Did you know that tremendous opportunities are available for SF students to join the Entomology Club and earn service credits toward entomology scholarships? Come get the scoop!

The Wildlife Ecology and Conservation walk-in advising session is from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Thursday, June 7. Claire Williams will inform students of the changes to the WEC curriculum coming up this fall.

Finally, from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, advisor Amy Alexander will present an information session on the Plant Science degree. Specializations include: Crop Ecology, Environmental Horticulture, Plant Genetics, Plant Health, Restoration Horticulture, Sustainable Food Production, Community Food Systems and Garden Design and Management.
