View the Venus Transit June 5
Venus Transit 2012
The Kika Silva Pla Planetarium invites you to observe one of the rarest events in astronomy; the transit of Venus across the disk of the Sun!
Telescopes will be available 6 – 8:15 p.m. on the north sidewalk of the planetarium to view the ingress of the transit before sunset.
After 8:15 p.m., Internet access to the world-wide telescopes will continue the observation via projection in room X-213 and the Kika Silva Pla Planetarium.
This event is free and open to the public. For more information on the Venus transition, please contact Sally Hoffman at 352-395-5354 or visit the planetarium website.
