SF Alumnus Jason Macdonald Performs in Florida March 20-23

Jason Macdonald, a Santa Fe College alumnus who is currently a member of Parsons Dance, will be in Florida for performances Wednesday, March 20-Saturday, March 23. The company, based in New York City, is touring as part of its 2013 season and will visit St. Petersburg, Sarasota and Lake Worth.

Macdonald, an Orlando native, began his dance training with Melissa Stokes and later on scholarship at SF with Alberto Alonso, Sonia Calero-Alonso and Alora Haynes. He has performed with the Alabama Ballet under artistic director Wes Chapman and with the New York City Opera. His repertoire includes “Cinderella,” “Don Quixote,” “Firebird” and George Balanchine’s “The Nutcracker” and “Serenade.” He recently graduated with a bachelor of fine arts degree in dance and a bachelor of science degree in finance from Florida State University. Macdonald joined Parsons Dance in August 2010.
