Brianca Roberts hit two late three pointers and the Saints clamped down on defense over the final minutes of the game as they earned a hard fought victory over Mid-Florida Conference rivals Hillsborough CC Saturday night in Tampa.
Santa Fe trailed 31-28 at the half but fought back on the strength of the outside shot, as they made five in the second half alone to overtake the lead and eventually pull out the seven point win
Roberts finished with a team high 17 points, and Sonya Franklin chipped in 12 points, all on three pointers, to help pace Santa Fe to the seven point win. The victory moves the Saints to 11-12 overall and 2-6 in MFC play.
