Sante Fe College is proud to be a supporter of a new initiative to organize and promote entrepreneurial events in October. The collective events are an effort to showcase Gainesville as a destination for those who wish to start or invest in a business. October will be Gainesville Entrepreneur Month (GEM) and there will be events held throughout the month to showcase the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit that dominates the Gainesville business climate.
GEM, is a result of several groups working together to form the consolidated calendar of events. The group includes Gainesville Area Innovation Network, Cox Communications and the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce.
Many of the events have been staples in the Gainesville community for years such as GAIN ShootOut and Startup Weekend. Several other high-profile events have been added, including Cox Business’ Get Started, which has hosted in other cities with Inc. magazine.
