“Pleasant in the Park” is a community celebration and resource fair that will take place on Saturday, June 11 from 10 p.m.-2 p.m. The event will include a community cookout, family-friendly activities and a neighborhood resource fair. This is a unique opportunity for local organizations to interact with community members and share information on their programs and services while enjoying a family-friendly celebration – because community is worth celebrating! Activities will include a community scavenger hunt, face painting, photos and more. The Pleasant Street Historic District has focused community efforts on educating their neighbors on the history of the community.
In order to support these efforts, NHDC will use a community scavenger hunt to engage and educate residents on the community’s historic roots. Participants will receive a list of historical landmarks in the community and compete to identify each location on the map. Prizes will be awarded for the first participant to accurately identify all landmarks.Those interested in hosting a table at this event should fill out the vendor registration form.
