SF WOMEN’S BASKETBALL BALANCED ATTACK LEADS SAINTS PAST HILLSBOROUGH, 79-68

Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints were solid from top to bottom Wednesday evening in Gainesville, defeating the Hillsborough CC Hawks 79-68 for their ninth win in a row.  The victory moves SF to 13-6 overall and 6-0 in the Mid-Florida Conference.

The Saints were on fire from the get go, outscoring the Hawks 24-14 in the first quarter, led by seven points from Arianna Emanuel-Wright.  The two teams played even through the second period with Rayven Wade leading the way for SF with eight points.

The third period was another even 10 minutes, each team scoring 22 points to make it a 64-54 game heading into the fourth.

Santa Fe College did what they needed to do in the final frame, holding the Hawks to just 14 points to preserve the 79-68 win.

Emanuel-Wright lead all scorers with 21 points, Tabitha Odabe had 15 points and 11 rebounds, Rayven Wade had 12 points, six assists and 10 rebounds and Corey Staples scored 13.

The Saints will take to the road to try and continue their unbeaten conference streak when they play Florida State College-Jacksonville Saturday at 2 p.m.
