User-friendly, responsive design abounds throughout Santa Fe College’s new Admissions, Financial Aid and Application web portals. The three projects that launched Monday, Feb. 27, were the culmination of a yearlong collaboration between teams from SF Communications & Creative Services, Financial Aid, Admissions and Information Technology Services.
“Students live on mobile devices.” says John Carmean, Director of Communications & Creative Services, “For all of us it was imperative that the prospective student experience on a mobile device was as easy and engaging as it is on a desktop.”
The SF Information Technology Services team, who led the reengineering of the college’s online application, took a forward-thinking approach similar in manner to TurboTax, an online system that steps users through the process of filing taxes by guiding them with a series of easy-to-understand questions. The new SF online application makes applying for the prestigious Florida college a breeze.
Dan Rodkin, Associate Vice President for Student Affairs reflects, “This online “front door” for new students presents them with the resources and answers they need to get started at SF, and also helps prospective students learn why they should consider SF as their top choice for higher education. We are excited to feature current students’ journeys on our page – sharing their stories on how they arrived at SF.”
