Santa Fe College Police Department Recognized by the Bureau of Justice Assistance

The Santa Fe College Police Department was recognized by the Bureau of Justice Assistance under the U.S. Department of Justice as a success story on their website.

The article highlights the SF Police Department’s Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) Training, which is a nationally recognized initiative for self-defense training. The program focuses on education and awareness, and teaches participants vital self-defense tactics and techniques to protect themselves in the event of an attack.

For several years Santa Fe College has been offering free and available R.A.D. training to the general community. Since then, there have been 573 participants that have benefited from the training.

The program received numerous responses from participants regarding how they believed the program was beneficial.
