Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe College Saints fastpitch team (29-18, 12-10 MFC) will play their final Mid-Florida Conference games of the season Thursday, April 13, at 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. against Lake Sumter State at Santa Fe College Athletic Field. The Saints have already clinched a spot at the FCSAA Tournament but could improve their seed with two wins over the Lakehawks and two losses by Daytona State to St. John’s River. For fans who cannot attend, the games will be broadcast live on the Saints Sports Network.
The Santa Fe College Saints, the FCSAA #4 baseball team (31-11, 14-5 MFC), will play a big game on Friday, April 14, against St. John’s River State Vikings. The two teams are battling at the top of the standings for first place with the Saints trailing the Vikings by one game. A win for SF would ensure a series win over SJRSC and the tiebreaker for any seeding at the FCSAA Tournament. Santa Fe College and St. John’s have combined to win every MFC title since 2009, with SF winning five and SJRSC three. This game will be broadcast on the Saints Sports Network.
