Saints Volleyball Season Ends with Loss to Hillsborough Community College Published on Monday, Nov. 6, 2017

 November 6, 2017 – The Santa Fe Saints volleyball team won their opening game in the FCSAA Tournament in Bradenton over the weekend, defeating College of Central Florida 3-2 before losing to St. Petersburg College 3-0.

Saturday, the Saints season ended with a loss to Hillsborough Community College 3-1. After a slow first set the Saints played HCC tough, defeating the Hawks in the second set by two points.  Hillsborough bounced back in the third after being pushed to the brink by SF, and finished off the match with another close two-point win in the fourth set.

SF finishes the 2017 season with a 12-17 record and tied for fifth at the FCSAA Tournament with the College of Central Florida, a team they beat in the first round.  The two Saints losses came to nationally ranked teams.
