Saints Lose Road Game at Polk 60-56

November 22, 2017 – The Santa Fe Saints came within a hair of a road win Tuesday evening in Winter Haven, but came up just short against Polk State College, falling 60-56.

The Eagles narrowly outscored SF in the first half, 29-27, thanks to solid defense at both ends.

The second half played out similarly to the first. Polk State outscored the Saints by two, 31-29 and finished off the four-point victory.

The loss drops SF to 6-2 on the year.

D-Juan Taylor-Hodge finished with a team high 14 points, Sean Flood had 10, including a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line, and Darrell Jones scored 10.

The Saints stay on the road for their next contest Monday, Nov. 27, when they travel to Indian River State College for a 5:30 p.m. tip.
