Dr. Sasser has extended a personal invitation to all high school and middle school guidance counselors in Alachua and Bradford counties to visit our campus for a Counselors Workshop today through Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. During these three days, counselors will have a chance to see and feel what Santa Fe College has to offer.
They will tour the zoo; attend presentations about the Institute of Public Safety’s programs, Health Sciences, and Construction and Technical Programs; learn about the Study Abroad program; tour Student Life; and learn about BAS degrees and articulation agreements between SFC and UF – and that’s just on the first day!
Gayle Davis, Coordinator of the Welcome and Admissions Center, said hopefully by the end of the three days, the counselors will leave here with a renewed understanding and appreciation for Santa Fe College.
High Schools represented include Buchholz, Bradford, Cornerstone Academy, Countryside Christian Academy, Eastside, Gainesville, Hawthorne, St. Francis and Santa Fe.
Middle schools include: Ft. Clarke, Hawthorne, Howard Bishop, Lincoln, Mebane, and Oak View.
