SF MEN’S BASKETBALL – 1/26/2013
Daytona, FL – The Daytona State Falcons picked up their first conference win of the season and just fourth of the season on Saturday afternoon on an upset win over the Santa Fe Saints 63-57.
Santa Fe led 34-28 at the half but shot only 5-for-31 in the second half to drop to 12-11 overall and 1-2 in Mid-Florida Conference play. Daytona improved 4-20 and 1-2 in MFC play.
The Saints struggled to get anything going and finished just 18-for-62 from the field and 6-for-24 from the three point line.
Bobby Hunter led Santa Fe with 19 points, Andrea Robinson had 16 points and nine points, Deonte Moore had 10 and Takija Knight had 11 rebounds.
The Saints return to action at home Monday, January 28 at 7:00 Pm against TAAG Academy.
