Sharing a success story: Tina had had been sporadically employed since the recession and was relying on family members for housing. She was 50 years old, and it was now or never — she needed to secure economic stability.
Tina joined Wave 5 of the BACK TO WORK 50+: Women’s Economic Stability Initiative in the Fall 2016 semester. She attended workshops on job search skills and started taking continuing education classes to brush up her software knowledge. Thanks to her own diligence, and to networking opportunities provided by the program, she was hired by InterMed, a local provider of integrated health technology management services.
Dates for Wave 9 are:
Friday, May 26, 2017, from 2 – 4 p.m. @ Santa Fe Blount Center, Downtown Gainesville
Tuesday, May 30, 2017, from 2 – 4 p.m. @ Santa Fe NW Campus, Building I-49
