November 20, 2018 – Santa Fe College is a proud supporter of the United Way of North Central Florida and the great work they do to support people in need in our community. Over the last several weeks, SF students, faculty and staff have been raising money to support the United Way. SF thanks everyone who made donations and supported this great cause.

SF student-worker, Dangel Perez, really wanted and needed a new scooter to get to and from work and classes. So, he bid $681.00 for the Solano Scooter and is the proud owner of the Solano Cycle!

An additional $333 was raised for the United Way during Penny Wars, pitting SF students against the staff with Vice President of Advancement Chuck Clemons, representing the staff and Student Body President Alejandro Puga representing the students. The final results will be revealed in the popular pie-in-the-face in which the winning team in Penny Wars will get to see their representative throw a pie in the face of the losing team’s representative.

The celebration will be held Monday, Dec. 3, at 3 p.m. at Freedom Fountain (the eagle statue) near the SF bookstore. Last year, the staff defeated the students. Will the staff remain champions, or will the students take the crown? Mark your calendars for this fun event!

Thanks for helping SF help the United Way and our community Live United!
