June 3, 2024 – Santa Fe College will be closed for Juneteenth on Wednesday, June 19.
Normal operating hours will resume Thursday, June 20.
According to the National Park Service, Juneteenth is the oldest known US celebration of the abolition of the chattel slave system and the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in Texas. Celebrated on June 19, it became an official national holiday on June 17, 2021.
