August 23, 2024 – The Santa Fe Saints Volleyball team opened their season yesterday hosting the Missouri State University – West Plains Grizzlies. The Saints shined at the net, racking up nine blocks in just three sets. However, the Grizzlies were up to the challenge.

The Saints started strong in each set but ultimately couldn’t hold their leads, with the Grizzlies winning all three sets 25-19, 25-19 and 25-18.

“The fight was there,” Saints Head Coach Bailey Coleman said. “We need to take care of the ball more and control the things we can control. I am optimistic in the direction we are headed.”

Everyone is welcome to support the Saints Volleyball team on Friday, Aug. 23. They will play Lurleen B. Wallace Community College at 11 a.m. and Pasco-Hernando State College at 3 p.m. Fans are invited to wear SF gear and enjoy free food.

Cheer on the Santa Fe Saints at the SF Gym, 3000 NW 83 Street, Gainesville. Admission is free for SF faculty, staff, students and retirees with SFID.
