September 16, 2024 – The Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo is requesting candy donations for the 28th annual Boo at the Zoo, presented by Studio32 Orthodontics. The event will be held Thursday, Oct. 31, from 3 to 7 p.m.
Donations of individually wrapped, unopened candy are encouraged, with each bag labeled with the donor’s name, department, and phone number. This allows the opportunity to express a frightful and delightful appreciation at the event. Please refrain from delivering candy in single-use plastic shopping bags.
When choosing candy, please note that the Palm Oil Shopping Guide has information on purchasing candy from companies that utilize sustainable palm oil in order to help the future of White-handed gibbons and orangutans.
Monetary donations are always welcome. Donations can be sent through campus mail, hand-delivered to the office or picked up by calling 352-395-5633. Checks should be made out to: Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo.
