VIVA EUROPE 2013! is back again from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at the Bo Diddley Community Plaza in downtown Gainesville. At this day-long celebration of European culture, the possibilities are endless — sample authentic European cuisine from food vendors, touch interesting objects at country display tables, participate in a pretzel-eating contest (register early as it is limited to the first 10 sign ups prior to 1 p.m.) and kids’ activities, shop at the marketplace, take mini-language lessons, see and hear music and dance performances and more.
Groups from Germany, Greece, Turkey, Poland, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Hungary, Greenland, Croatia, Ireland, Portugal, Italy, Spain, France and more will be represented.
Bring a chair and your appetite for European culture. Admission is free.
