Dear Colleagues:
The primary highlight of our January convocation service is sharing what good teachers do. Also, in celebration of Santa Fe College’s 50th anniversary, we will open a time capsule and find out what it contains. The event will occur on stage at Convocation. The time capsule was buried 25 years ago on our campus and its contents have remained a secret. We will then begin considering what to place in a new time capsule to be buried at the Santa Fe Clock Tower at our 2017 Convocation.
Convocation begins at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, January 4 in the Fine Arts Hall. I am pleased to inform you that our third President, Dr. Larry Tyree, will join us as we officially begin our 50th anniversary celebration. The service is scheduled to conclude at 10:30 a.m.
