Santa Fe College finished the regular season last week with a 15-10 record and have been busy preparing for last three days for the FCSAA Tournament.
The Mid-Florida Conference number 3 seed Saints will battle Southern Conference champions Palm Beach State College in the first round of the tournament on November 4 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bradenton Civic Center. Santa Fe defeated the Panthers 3-0 in Gainesville on August 27. Full details and a bracket can be found here: FCSAA Tournament. SF hit .224 as a team, averaging 10.84 kills per set, 2.6 blocks per set, and 18 digs per set. Meraiah Hill was a stalwart in the middle for SF, accumulating 117 blocks to pace a defense Coach Nick Cheronis praised throughout the year.
Nadine Williams led the offense with 285 kills and Ashton Marshall had 420 digs. The top three teams from the FCSAA Tournament will advance on to the NJCAA Tournament in Casper, Wyoming.
