Blount Hall Moves Closer to Opening

January 25, 2022 – Crews from Parrish-McCall Constructors have nearly completed construction on Blount Hall, significantly expanding Santa Fe College’s downtown Gainesville presence. Next month, some limited operations will begin at the new 87,366 square foot Blount Hall. The $36.5 million facility’s first official business will be to host SF’s District Board of Trustees board meeting on February 15.

When fully operational, Blount Hall will provide a top-of-the-line educational center in downtown Gainesville along with additional business incubation space for SF’s Center for Innovation and Economic Development (CIED).  Offerings will include complete degree and certificate programs in programs such as business and information technology as well as full A.A. degrees for students looking to transfer.

College faculty and staff will begin moving into Blount Hall later this Spring in preparation for summer and fall terms. More information related to packing, moving and transition will be provided to those impacted a minimum of two weeks prior to their scheduled move.  This information will also be made available to the college community in the coming weeks via our “Countdown to Blount Campus” weekly update.
