April 1, 2022 – Santa Fe College mourns the loss of long-time Nursing faculty member Eileen Dehouske. Eileen passed away peacefully at home following a battle with cancer.

Eileen spent 20 years teaching at SF, retiring from the Nursing program in 2013. Her passion and love of nursing was felt by many who received and observed her care, skill, and instruction of others in her field.

Eileen was most known for her warmth, vibrant spirit, and sense of humor. She also had a strong spiritual sense, as evidenced by her search for true meaning and her lived experience of love and connection in this life. Eileen’s favorite place to simply be and enjoy nature was the beach where she requested that her ashes be spread for eternal rest.

There was a celebration of her life held last month. Eileen Dehouske was 75 years of age.
