August 28, 2024 – The Saints hit the court with momentum yesterday, fresh off two big wins against Lurleen B. Wallace Community College and Pasco-Hernando State College. Meanwhile, the Florida State College at Jacksonville Manta Rays were coming off a challenging weekend tournament in Rockford, IL, where they managed only one win out of four.
In an exciting four-set match, the Saints defeated the Manta Rays 3-1, marking the first time since August 2022 that SF has secured three consecutive victories.
“That was a great fight from FSCJ,” Saints Head Coach Bailey Coleman said. “They gave us a run for our money. Proud of the girls’ perseverance and will to win.”
The 3-1 Saints head to Fort Pierce this Saturday for a doubleheader. They’ll take on Palm Beach State College and Indian River State College.
