Adult Mental Health First Aid Training Available for SF Faculty and Staff This Fall

Santa Fe College's Clock Tower on the Northwest Campus.

September 27, 2024 – Santa Fe College is pleased to offer two Adult Mental Health First Aid trainings this fall for SF faculty and staff. The trainings are as follows:

  • Friday, Oct. 25 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in S-029 (Northwest Campus)
    • Light breakfast snacks and lunch will be provided.
  • Friday, Nov. 1 (Part 1) from 8:00 a.m. to noon and Friday, Nov. 8 (Part 2) from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in S-029 (Northwest Campus)
    • Only light breakfast snacks will be provided.
    • Participants must attend both Part 1 and Part 2 to receive credit for the training.

This training helps participants understand how to help others who might be experiencing a mental health-related crisis or problem on campus. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychosis and addictions.

This training is offered in person. There is limited seating. Students will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees will need to complete some coursework before the training date and must be present for the entire course for certification.
