Trans Day of Remembrance 2022

Transgender Day of Remembrance was created in 1999 by Gwendolyn Ann Smith as a vigil to honor Rita Hester, a trans woman who was killed in 1998. Each year on November 20th, we honor and remember transgender and gender expansive people that have been murdered due to their identities. We invite you to advocate for LGBTQ+ individuals in big and small ways, amplify trans voices and resources, and fight for their justice.
This TDOR, we remember the 375 transgender individuals we have lost to anti-transgender violence around the world.
May they rest in power.
