National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week

National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week

Santa Fe College joins more than 1,000 colleges and universities in the United States who recognize the importance of campus prevention efforts addressing alcohol abuse and impaired driving prevention.

It is important to recognize that most students choose not to drink irresponsibly, and those who drink to excess put themselves at higher risk for negative consequences. Our event will empower students to practice smart, planned-in-advance decision-making about social situations involving alcohol.

This year’s theme for National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week (NCAAW) is “I Choose…It Starts With Your Decisions.”

Using a theme inspired by the self-determination and empowerment of this generation of college students, Santa Fe College encourages students to make choices to stay safe in social situations where alcohol may be present.

The event is held on the Northwest campus in the Oak Grove on Thursday, Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
