Altrusa International of Gainesville’s Scholarship Fund provides up to five scholarships to Santa Fe College women from Alachua or Bradford County. The $1,300 scholarships will be awarded for the 2010-2011 academic year. Past recipients are encouraged to reapply.
To qualify, recipients: must be at least 25 years old, a U.S. citizen and resident of Alachua or Bradford County, and have a definite plan for improving their career whether through advancement, training, or a new career, or entering or re-entering the job market. Recipients must also be an SF student or be accepted at SF, and demonstrate scholastic ability and financial need. Scholarship recipients must enroll full time, seek a degree, and maintain a 2.5 grade point average.
