What is Going On With All of These Renovations?

Dr. David Yonutas gives you the skinny on every  office-moving, building-closing, construction change happening on campus this summer. Get even more details in this PDF, including where to find faculty who’ve had to relocate.

Building H

Work has begun on the new UF@SF Center. H-108, H-131 and H-132, along with one office are the first stage in the creation of this new UF@SF Center.

Building L

Ultimately, all walls will be painted, carpets replaced, tile cleaned and buffed, ceiling grids and tiles replaced, duct work and air handling units replaced, lighting upgraded. Within the mechanical rooms, lead paint will be removed and asbestos caulking abated (note: the lead paint and asbestos caulking are ONLY in the mechanical rooms, not in public spaces).

Building M

Most walls will be painted, carpets replaced, tile cleaned and buffed, ceiling grids and tiles replaced, duct work and air handling units replaced, lighting upgraded. In addition, dust collection systems will be installed in the ceramics studio. The PC Shop will move into N-115 over the course of the summer and the Santa Fe Gallery will be closed.

Building P

Expansion of the Math Studio is occurring on the second floor of P Building. The Math Studio will move into P-236 over the summer, and the Mathematics Computer Lab in P-236 will be temporarily displaced to X-120. There will be no changes to the Math Tutoring Lab in G-14.
