FSC-J STARS THUMP SAINTS, 74-51
Jacksonville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints struggled to score on Saturday evening in Jacksonville and the result was their largest margin of defeat on the season, 74-51.
The Saints (17-12, 4-7 MFC) played solid defense in the first half, holding Florida State College at Jacksonville to just 26 points, but could only muster 20 of their own.
FSC-J turned up the heat in the second half and scored 48 to pull away for the win.
Jerome Clyburn was the lone SF player in double figures with 13. Despite the loss, the Saints can still clinch a spot in the Mid-Florida Conference tournament with a win next Saturday or a loss by FSC-J on Wednesday or Saturday.
The final regular season game for SF is next Saturday, February 19 at home against St. John’s River State at 4:00 PM. It can be watched live on www.psblive.com.
