Gainesville, FL – The Saints (33-8, 12-2 MFC) used extra innings to win game one of a double header 1-0 against Gulf Coast CC (40-11) and dominated game two 8-3 behind pitcher Jasmine Warren and a potent offense.

Colena Lazar (23-5) stifled GCCC for eight innings in the first game of the double header, striking out 13 along the way. Santa Fe scored the game winning run in the bottom of the eighth with the Texas tie breaker in effect (each team starts the inning with a runner on second).

Jasmine Warren (7-3) sacrificed Bianca Torres to third base and with two outs Jaimee Vega singled to bring in the winning run.

Gia Tomossone got SF on the board early in game two, doubling home Warren for a 1-0 lead. Gulf Coast tied the score in the third inning, but Santa Fe came right back with a run in the bottom of the third on another RBI hit by Tomossone.

GCCC answered again with a homerun in the fourth to snag a 3-2 advantage. The Saints rallied in the bottom of the fourth, scoring six runs on three hits and two Commodore errors to give them an 8-3 lead and eventual win.

Bianca Torres had two hits and scored three runs on the day, including the game winner in game one. Gia Tomossone was 2-for-3 in game two with two RBI and a run scored.
