BEN O’SHEA NAMED FCSAA PITCHER OF THE WEEK
FCSAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week (March 28-April 3) Ben O’Shea, Santa Fe Sophomore – Reading, Mass.
Santa Fe College’s Ben O’Shea is this week’s FCSAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week. O’Shea, a sophomore from Reading, Mass., was dominant in his lone outing of the week, pitching the Saints to a 9-0 win over St. Johns River State on April 1 in a battle of the Mid-Florida Conference’s top two teams.
O’Shea carried a perfect game into the fifth and a no-hitter into the six before settling for a two-hit, seven-inning shutout. He allowed only one walk and struck out 14.
On the season, O’Shea is 8-2 with a 3.10 ERA and has struck out 81 batters in 52.1 innings pitched.
