Free Environmental Science and Technology Summer Camp Accepting Applications

The Earth-Wind-Fire-Water Summer Camp at Santa Fe College is looking for rising ninth graders for this year’s program. Students interested in science and technology and how the world works are invited to apply. The camp will be held June 20-24 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily at the Perry Center for Emerging Technologies in Alachua.

This free, one-week environmental summer camp will focus on Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM). Students will have fun with hands-on activities in toxicology, earth and water sciences, DNA sciences, energy resources, and computer gaming. The last day of camp features a field trip to the Dolphin Conservation Center at Marineland near St. Augustine. The deadline to receive applications has been extended to Friday, May 20.
