On average, how much money do you spend on Halloween candy? Global Society students invite you to join them in trick-or-treating for UNICEF this October to help some of the world’s poorest children.
We would like to encourage everyone to donate whatever they can to this worthy cause. Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF donation buckets have been placed all over the campus. Global Society students will be collecting donations in the P building breezeway on Oct. 26 and 31. In addition, our school mascot, St. Bernard, will be walking around campus on Halloween, trick-or-treating for UNICEF!
How do your donations help?
- $1 pays for a protein biscuit to keep a starving child alive
- $18 can purchase three bed nets to help protect children from malaria
- $24 pays for an emergency first aid kit
- $69 supplies a box of 10,000 water purifying tablets.
Approximately 21,000 children die each day from preventable causes. UNICEF tries to eliminate this daily tragedy by providing children in over 150 countries with healthcare, clean water, nutrition, education, protection, and emergency relief.
