Florida’s Minimum Wage Increasing to $7.67

Florida’s minimum wage is changing from $7.31 per hour to $7.67 per hour effective January 1, 2012. While federal law mandates a minimum wage of $7.25, Florida law requires the Agency for Workforce Innovation to calculate an adjusted minimum wage each year.

The 2011 wage provides for an increase of 36 cents per hour for Florida’s minimum wage earners. Employees will see the increase in their January 31 paychecks.
