“We know that textbook affordability is a critical issue for our students,” Alexander writes. “Over the past few years, there have been multiple reports, committees, task forces, and even federal and state legislation to address textbook affordability.
“The goal of the faculty survey is to gauge faculty familiarity with open educational resources, including textbooks and courseware, and to identify barriers to and opportunities for increasing adoption and authoring of open textbooks and other educational resources.
“In an effort to assist the Division of Florida Colleges in addressing textbook affordability, we are requesting that you participate in a short survey, estimated to take 10 minutes to complete. This is the second iteration of the online Florida Student Textbook Survey and the online Faculty and Administrator Open Educational Resources Survey.”
