Applications due Feb. 17; event is Feb. 25
Country rock singers, solo or duet, can apply now to compete in the Bradford Fest Talent Showdown, 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Bradford High School Auditorium.
Prizes awarded will include first place, $500; second place, $50; and third place, $25. The top three winners will move on to the final auditions for the Suwannee River Jam on March 31 and perform at Boots ‘n Barbecue on May 19. They will also have a radio opportunity on WEAG.
The deadline for submitting the application materials and fee is Feb. 17. Performers must be prepared to perform three songs; final instructions will be given Feb. 19 via email. All profits from this event go to Santa Fe scholarships for Bradford County students. Admission to the Feb. 25 Talent Showdown is $5; children 5 and under are free.
