UF Hosts Engineering Fair

The University of Florida’s Engineering and Science Fair is a two-day event that is part of Engineers Week. At the E-fair engineering disciplines present what their field entails and the real life applications of their field. Engineering organizations set up interactive booths where students can get hands-on experience with science and engineering.

E-Fair 2012 will take place 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21 and Thursday, Feb. 23 in the Reitz Union Grand Ballroom.  College students are encouraged to attend on Tuesday, as there will also be a research poster symposium in the Reitz Union Rion Ballroom.

The Engineering and Science Fair at the University of Florida began sixty-seven years ago in 1945. This event spawned the first Engineers Week in 1951. E-Fair has been central in the growth of E-week, and it remains the largest and most popular event. The Engineering Leadership Forum made its debut in 1992, and is now the second largest event.
