To further the excellent work of vice president Dr. Portia Taylor, we are making no compromises in the quality of leadership and service the Office of Student Affairs provides at our college. In that regard, I have already indicated to you that Registrar Lynn Sullivan has agreed to serve in an interim capacity through the spring semester.
I have asked Dr. Naima Brown to serve as interim vice president for a minimum of one year at the beginning of summer semester. Dr. Brown has a distinguished record of serving Santa Fe students. She is an inspirational teacher and a leader in the college. She was named the 2011 Student Government’s Faculty Member of the Year. She is highly regarded among the students and faculty, embodies Santa Fe’s ideals and is engaged in the community. Dr. Brown will inspire continued good work in student affairs.
