Santa Fe College Holds “Safe Spring Break” Event, March 1

The Santa Fe College Police Department, Counseling Center, and Student Life will host their annual Safe Spring Break event, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, March 1 in the Oak Grove behind S Building. The event’s focus is raising awareness and providing overall education for students regarding alcohol abuse and impaired driving.

Participating agencies include the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, Gainesville Police Department, Florida Highway Patrol, and representatives from the U.S. Marine Corps.  Students will have the chance to “pledge for pizza” by stating they will not abuse alcohol or drive intoxicated over spring break.
