Florida Organic Growers (FOG) invites you to the FOG JOG 5K Run/Walk. The race starts at 9 a.m. Sunday, April 15 at Westside Park. This event is a fun, healthy way to support FOG and its projects benefitting sustainable organic agriculture, nutritional food education, community gardens, and protection of farmers and farmworkers.
Along the way, runners can refresh themselves with Uncle Matt’s Organic juices, Annie’s Organic snack packs, and bananas from Ward’s Supermarket. After the race, stick around for a fresh, healthy lunch provided by Falafel King! There will also be a special guest appearance from Albert and Alberta Gator.
The first three male and first three female runners across the finish line will get prizes donated from local Gainesville restaurants businesses. Prizes will also be given to the top two fund raisers.
Online pre-registration is open through April 10. The first 100 pre-registered runners will be guaranteed a FOG JOG t-shirt. Pre-registration is $20 for adults, $15 for students and children. Race day registration is also available, starting at 7:30 a.m. on race day. Costs will increase to $25 for adults and $20 for students and children. In addition to your registration donation, it would be fantastic if you could ask your family and friends to sponsor your run.
