For the first time in six years, Stephenie Coney (pictured right) and Stephanie Edwards (pictured left) will not be playing basketball on the same team. The two high school teammates at Miami Norland and college teammates at Santa Fe have signed letter of intent to play at Armstrong Atlantic State University and Jacksonville University respectively for the 2012-13 season.
Coney, an FCSAA All-State performer, will join former Saints Demisha Mills at Armstrong Atlantic. She averaged a team high 12.9 points per game, 3.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game in 2011-12.
Armstrong, a NCAA II school located in Savannah, GA, finished 2011-12 with a 13-13 overall record and a 7-11 mark in the Peach Belt Conference under Coach Mat Schmidt.
