Making summer plans? The Summer Flex Program begins May 7, and runs through August 13, with the exclusions of the two holiday weeks, Memorial Day (May 28-June 1) and 4th of July (July 2 – July 6). Summer Flex is available to 12-month, full-time employees only and is based on working four, 10-hour work days.
Suggested work plan options include the following:
- Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. with any day (Monday-Friday) off per week
- Monday-Friday 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with any day (Monday–Friday) off per week
Departments can utilize any combination of days and time that equal 40 hours per week, as approved by the appropriate department head and Human Resources. Please feel free to contact Human Resources to brainstorm strategies for making this option viable for your department. Also, keep in mind that supervisors may require employees to return to the regular work week schedule (8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekdays) if the modified schedule is not favorably serving students and the college.
