Women’s Basketball Wins Defensive Battle Against Tallahassee, 57-55


Ocala, FL – The FCSAA #7 Santa Fe Saints avenged an early season loss to #3 Tallahassee CC with a 57-55 win over the Eagles at the Central Florida Shootout on Saturday afternoon. Kaitlynn Pacholke played the hero, nailing a three point shot with ten seconds left to give the Saints an upset win

Santa Fe (5-3) trailed at halftime 31-29, but a strong second half defensive effort kept the Saints in it, providing Pacholke with the game winning opportunity.

Tiara Thompson led SF with 11 points and eight rebounds, Pacholke had 10 points, six assists, three rebounds and two steals and Paulina Zaveckaite finished with eight points and eight rebounds.

The Saints return to action at home on Sunday, November 19 against Webber International University JV at 6:00 PM.
