Santa Fe College Model UN Awarded Honorable Mention

Santa Fe College’s Model United Nations team was awarded an honorable mention in the 23rd annual Southern Regional Model United Nations Conference (SRMUN) held in Atlanta, Georgia November 15 –  17. The Conference had nearly 700 students from 53 colleges and universities from various parts of the United States.

Model United Nations is an academic simulation of the United Nations that aims to educate participants about current events, international relations, diplomacy, and the United Nations agenda. Participants research a country, take on roles as diplomats, investigate international issues, debate, and develop solutions to world problems. Santa Fe students distinguished themselves for representing Costa Rica and Guatemala in the General Assembly, Security Council, Food and Agriculture Administration, Human Rights Council and International Atomic Energy Agency.

Please be sure to congratulate our MUN team members for their outstanding work.
