Saints Take to the Road This Weekend; Host St. Pete College December 17

#10 Bobby Hunter is averaging a team best 22.7 points per game, 10th best in the country

SF MEN’S BASKETBALL – 12/12/2012

Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe men’s basketball team is wrapping up final exams and will head out of state this weekend for the Aiken Tech Classic in Aiken, South Carolina December 14 and 15.  On Friday the Saints tangle with NJCAA #8 and undefeated Spartanburg Methodist College (12-0) at 6:00 PM and on Saturday play host Aiken Technical College (3-6) at 5:00 PM.

SF will host St. Petersburg College at 5:00 PM in the Santa Fe Gym on December 17 in the team’s last contest until January.  The Saints currently sit at 6-6 and are coming off a big upset win over Pensacola State College at the Florida College Shootout.

Bobby Hunter leads the offensive attack for Santa Fe, averaging 22.7 points per game, good enough for 10th best in the country.

The Saints have been playing better at home this season with all six wins coming in Gainesville.  SF is 6-2 in the SF gym and 0-4 on the road.

Admission is $3 for the general public, $2 for military and seniors and free for children under 12 and SF students, faculty and staff with a valid Santa Fe ID.
