Join us for an evening of stellar tales of love and devotion during “Florida Skies: Love Among the Stars”, this Friday evening, February 15th, 2013 at 7:00 PM.  James Albury (co-host of the PBS TV Series, “Star Gazers”) will be joined this week by story crafter Sarah Eiland as they share star lore with a decidedly romantic theme.  Sarah  is of Native American decent and she will bring her gift of ‘story crafting’ to the Kika Silva Pla Planetarium for this special event.

“Our planetarium is such a unique environment for Sarah’s brand of story telling.”, says planetarium coordinator, James Albury.  James adds, “The concept behind ‘Florida Skies’ is reminiscent of what our ancestors did, but with a high-tech twist.  Families can gather together under the stars and get a personally guided tour of the night sky, while hearing stories of heroism, devotion and love; many handed down from generation to generation.  This week the audience will be treated to Native American star lore and a few stories crafted by Ms. Eiland herself.”
