City of Gainesville Election Voter Registration Deadline Feb. 19

Tuesday, Feb. 19 is the last day to register to vote for the March 19 City of Gainesville Election. All registered voters living within the Gainesville city limits are eligible to vote in the mayoral race. Only eligible city of Gainesville voters living in District 4 may vote in the District 4 race.

Voters should verify their voting district as there have been recent changes due to redistricting. Voters can go to www.votealachua.com and click “Maps” on the left menu or the “My Voter Information Page” icon in the upper right corner to find their current city voting district.

The Supervisor of Elections Office will be open from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. to accept voter registration applications. The office, located at 111 SE 1st Avenue, has an after-hours mail drop at the main entrance. Applications received through the mail drop will be accepted up until midnight on Feb. 19.

You may use the online application form to register to vote or update your voter information or signature. Be sure to fill out the form completely and check the correct box. You will then need to print the application form, sign it and return it to the Elections Office. You may also register to vote in person at the Elections Office or by mail (mail-in applications must be postmarked by no later than the Feb. 19 deadline).
